W. James Antle III is executive editor of the Washington Examiner magazine. He has written about national politics and public policy in Washington, D.C., for more than 20 years, covering every presidential campaign since 2004 and every administration since George W. Bush. He has previously been the editor of the American Conservative, politics editor at the Washington Examiner, managing editor of the Daily Caller, and associate editor of the American Spectator. He is the author of Devouring Freedom: Can Big Government Ever Be Stopped? Antle’s writing has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Politico, the Boston Globe, the Week, National Review, U.S. News and World Report, Reason, and many other publications, and he has appeared on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, and National Public Radio. Antle is a board member for Defense Priorities, a D.C.-based foreign policy organization. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
